2020 Pinot Noir trocken VDP.Auktion.Réserve, Goldkapsel, Rheingau, Germany

Firm and quite deep, polished aroma of ripe, predominantly small mixed berries with moderate wood spice, a hint of juniper, cherries as well as delicate tobacco and nutty hints. Ripe, very juicy, yet rather cool fruit, very fine, polished tannin and animating bite, slightly ethereal notes and again restrained, perfectly used wood in the background, lasting, good depth, very elegant style, still undeveloped, has freshness, quite distinct minerality, very good finish with cool juice, salt and delicately herbal notes. A pleasure.
