2017 Barolo DOCG "Sperss", Piedmont, Italy

Clear, deep, rather calm, firm aroma of red and a little black berries with dried floral nuances, a little tar and juniper. Taut, tart and juicy, almost cool, with air increasingly juicy fruit, some acidity and youthful, intense, fine tannin, dense, deep and persistent on the palate, very gently smoky, nutty and juniper, a hint of pepper, chalk and salt in the background, still undeveloped, gets deeper with air, distinctly classic style with an almost hard core, long, firm, tart finish with pull and grip. Great classic for the long haul.
