2018 Fellbach Lämmler Lemberger trocken "Edition P", Württemberg, Germany

Quite alcoholic aroma of partly preserved more black than red berries with dried-vegetable to tobacco aromas and some smoky-sooty wood. Tart dark fruit with lots of smoky, also toasty and sooty wood, some acid bite and present tannin, powerful, a little sweetish-melty and strong alcohol on the palate, peppery tones, a hint of juniper, good persistence, good to very good, again somewhat bitterish-woody finish with dark juice and noticeable alcohol.

Editor note: Clear aroma of partly preserved cherries and black berries with smoky and slightly peppery-spicy notes. Ripe, quite juicy fruit with smoky and a little tobacco wood aromas, fine sandy, ripe, rather crumbly tannin, dry herbs and pepper in the background, ethereal nuances, some minerality, also hints of cocoa and coffee, slightly sweet melting, a lot of power but also a certain polish, very good finish with dark juice and slightly bitterish wood that goes into the sooty.
