2006 Maremma Toscana IGT "poggio bestiale", Tuscany, Italy

Black berries and sour cherries on the nose, mineral notes, herbs and spices, light smoky notes. Tart on the palate with loads of ripe, very dark, juicy fruit, integrated roasted oak, cedar wood, dired herbs, fairly prominent, fien sandy tannins, salty mineral notes in the background, slightly astringent, very full-bodied, youthful, good long finish.
