2018 Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva, Tuscany, Italy

Clear, relatively polished nose of ripe black and red berries with some black olives, oregano, hints of wood and a touch of tar. Ripe, juicy and spicy fruit with nutty wood aromas, some cocoa and hints of mocha, crumbly and sandy tannin, persistent, has power, Mediterranean herbs in the background, again a little black olives, a little nut butter, very good, somewhat warm, very slightly chocolaty finish.
