2008 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Pinot Nero Ludwig, Alto Adige, Italy

Clear, fairly mature nose, red berries and a hint of cassis, smoky oak, some smoked bacon, earthy and mineral notes, undergrowth. Creamy on the palate, slightly jammy fruit, light vegetal notes, smoky oak and some undergrowth, sugar candy and a milky touch, contours could be more defined, good finish.
