2019 Etna DOC Rosso "Sul Vulcano", Sicily, Italy

Delicately smoky and a little floral scent of tomato essence and more red than black berries with bacony nuances, Mediterranean herbs and a hint of blood orange. Quite taut, tangy fruit with cocoa and coffee notes, some smoke, hints of juniper and dried herbs, slightly peppery and salty in the background, has bite, youthful, fine sandy, ripe tannin, good persistence, still young, toasty hints, very good finish with ethereal notes, tart juice and bite.
