2017 Etna DOC rosso "Sul Vulcano", Sicily, Italy

Dried floral and a touch tobacco nose of predominantly red berries with nutty aromas. Clear, ripe red fruit, some coffee and dark chocolate, friable, slightly dusty tannin, a touch drying, some warmth, some persistence, dried floral tones, not too deep, good to very good, a little muted finish

Editor note: Dried-vegetable to tobacco, nutty and earthy scent of partly dried red and black berries. Rather tart fruit with woody and nutty spice, some sandy and slightly drying tannin, certain warmth, herbal and spicy nuances, a little cocoa, a hint of salt in the background, also tobacco, good to very good, tart, again slightly drying finish with citrus traces and a hint of herbs
