Village-Appellation in the Burgundy area Côte de Beaune. Attached to the place name Pernand is the name of the best location "Les Vergelesses" (18 ha), which is shared with the neighbouring village of Savigny-lès-Beaune. It produces red wines from Pinot Noir, as well as white wines from Chardonnay with some Pinot Blanc and Pinot Liébault. As an alternative AC, Pernand-Vergelesses Côte de Beaune can only be used for red wines. The Premier Crus comprises around 60 hectares of vineyards.
