2019 Chateauneuf-du-Pape AOC, Rhône, France

Clear, quite firm aroma of ripe black and some red berries with aromas of partly fresh Mediterranean herbs, cedary notes, a little cherries, rowan berries, juniper and tobacco. Relatively slender, yet firm, tart, juicy, polished fruit, fine dusty tannin and some bite, tobacco nuances, pepper and a hint of coffee, good persistence and depth, noticeable but integrated alcohol, tart spicy nuances, a hint of tar, earthy and salty notes, very good, firm, juicy and spicy finish.
