Area classified as appellation and cru in 2005 in the southern part of the Rhône wine region. Before the survey, it was one of the communes in the Côtes du Rhône-Villages area that are allowed to add its name. The vineyards cover 550 hectares of vineyards on limestone and sandstone soils in the four communes of Beaumes-de-Venise, Lafare, Suzette and La Roque-Alric in the department of Vaucluse. The AOC only applies to red wines made from at least 50% Grenache Noir(Garnacha Tinta), 25% Syrah, and a maximum of 20% Mourvèdre(Monastrell) and other authorised varieties. The alcohol content...
