2017 Alsace AOC Gewürztraminer "Les éléments", Alsace, France

Quite firm, somewhat floral, herbal, slightly mushroomy and hinted at smoky scent of ripe yellow fruits and a little black berries, with a hint of long pepper, lavender, rosewood and sage. Firm, sweet fruit with delicately creamy, a hint of marzipan and wax, fine, lively acidity, some ripe tannin, dense and persistent on the palate, liquorice, cassis and hints of nougat in the background, salty and earthy tones, has power and some warmth, fine, aromatic varietal bitters, very good finish with rose aromas.
