2018 Gaillac AOC Braucol "Elevé en fût de chêne", South-west France, France

Somewhat muted, nutty, undergrowth and animal aromas with dark fruit flavours and a little malt and ash. Tart, somewhat muted dark fruit, present tannin and some acid bite, dried-vegetable and earthy notes, a hint of coffee grounds, noticeably drying on the palate, some bitterness, tidy, a little brittle finish.
