Editor note: Prominent vegetal notes on the nose, hint of bacon and mushrooms, ripe yellow fruit, light smoky oak, earthy notes. Ripe, slightlywarm, creamyfruit on the palate, elegant acidity, light tannic grip, root vegetables in the background, full body, fairly persistent, veryslightlyrustic style, good to very good, tart finish.
Best to drink: To 2021+

The vineyards cover 5,000 hectares of vineyards on limestone soils mainly along and around the river Tarn in a total of 116 municipalities. The two communes of Cabanès and Cunac may add their names to the designation.
