2019 Côte Rôtie AOC "Seigneur de Maugiron", Rhône, France

Quite deep, tart and a touch acidic, somewhat vegetal to herbal aroma of ripe predominantly dark berries with a hint of tobacco, clove, peppery raw meat and liquorice. Clear, relatively fresh, juicy fruit with some acid bite and youthful, present, yet quite fine tannins, herbal and slightly floral tones on the palate, some smoke and toast in the background, persistent, has power and warmth, peppery nuances, Mediterranean herbs, salty minerality, very good, tight, tangy finish with bite and grip. A pleasure.
