2019 Costa Toscana IGT Cabernet Franc, Tuscany, Italy

Rather tart, slightly ethereal and smoky scent of more black than red berries with peppery notes, a little red pepper, tobacco, dry herbs and earthy notes. Ripe, juicy, almost a little sweetish, warm fruit, smoky and peppery-ethereal notes, also mint, slightly coffee-roasted and chocolaty tones, good persistence, a lot of power and noticeable alcohol, crumbly-sandy tannin, a little cocoa, peanut and salt, very good, still very slightly drying, at the same time again a little sweetish finish.

Best to drink: Mitte 2023 bis 2030+. What our ratings mean
