2018 Costa Toscana IGT Cabernet Franc, Tuscany, Italy

Quite firm, slightly smoky and a hint of ethereal aroma of predominantly black berries with a little root vegetables, herbs and a hint of bacon. Ripe, juicy, almost a little sweetish fruit with slightly chocolaty and nutty wood spice, crumbly-sandy tannin, ethereal herbs and a little pepper on the palate, mushroomy traces, still very slightly milky notes, warming alcohol, some bite, very good finish with black and red fruit and smoky notes.

Best to drink: Mitte 2023 bis 2030+. What our ratings mean
