2015 Carnuntum St. Laurent trocken Selection, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

slightly smoky nose, sour cherries and predominantly black berries, dried herbs, hint of tobacco, earthy and mineral notes. Fairly tart, cool fruit on the palate, light smoky oak, dried vegetal notes, light sooty traces, earthy notes, fairly firm youthful tannins, noticeable bite, good persistence, salty traces in the background, still largely undeveloped, very good tart, juicy finish.
