2011 Carnuntum Ried Schüttenberg Syrah trocken, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Slightly meaty, dried-vegetable to herbal and a little peppery aroma with more black than red berry flavours and some bacon. Ripe, juicy, melting fruit, a little nutty and chocolaty wood, crumbly tannin, good substance and persistence, again very slightly bacony-meaty tones and hints of peppery spice, a touch of coffee, good to very good, somewhat warm finish, again with chocolaty notes
