2008 Carnuntum Zweigelt-Merlot-Syrah trocken Edles Tal, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Firm nose, sour cherries and mixed berries, herbaceous and peppery notes, mineral and earthy notes, delicate floral touch and a hint of tobacco. Full-bodied and quite juicy on the palate, more herbaceous notes, restraijned spicy oak, some juniper, hint of dried flowers, fine sandy tannins, noticeable but integrated alcohol, slightly salty mineral notes, quite persistent, fairly tart on a very good finish.
