Château Clos des Jacobins

The winery is located in Saint-Émilion (Bordeaux) in the area of the same name. Owned by the Cordier company since 1964, the estate was sold to Gérard Frydman in 2001, but he sold it to Bernard Decoster only three years later. It is now managed by his son Thibaut Decoster, who hired the renowned oenologist Michel Rolland as a consultant. The farm is classified as "Grand Cru Classé", which was last confirmed in 2012. The vineyards cover nine hectares with Merlot (70%), Cabernet Franc (28%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (8%). The long-lasting red wine is aged for up to 18 months in 100% new barriques. The second wine is called "Prieur des Jacobins".
