About
Château Cadet - Bon

The winery is located north of Saint-Émilion in the area of the same name (Bordeaux). A Bon family is known here since the 13th century. In the 14th century, Jacques Bon, called Le Cadet (the younger), planted a vineyard called "La Butte du Cadet" (The Butte of the Cadet) on the northern slope of Saint Émilion. After a later owner it was called Château Cadet-Pinaud-Bon for a while. Since 1986 it has been owned by the Sociéte Loriene. After the degradation in 2006, it was again classified as "Grand Cru Classé" in 2012. The vineyards cover seven hectares of vines with the Merlot (85%) and Cabernet Franc (15%) varieties. The second wine is called Chateau "Vieux Moulin du Cadet".
