2017 Rüdesheim Drachenstein Pinot Noir, Rheingau, Germany

Firm nose, red and a few black berries and cherries, floral aromas, peppery traces, mineral notes. Ripe, slightly warm, partly preserved fruit on the palate, toasted oak and some chocolate, hint of bacon, herbaceous and peppery traces, persistent, quuite full-bodied, noticeable warm alcohol, malted traces, hint of elderberry and juniper, dark chocolate on a very good, tart finish.
