2017 Lorch Pinot Noir, Rheingau, Germany

Clear nose, nutty traces, ripe, predominantly red berries and a whiff of cherries, partly dried herbs, hint of tobacco, earthy notes, hint of licorice. Firmly structured, tart fruit on the palate, nutty aromas, coffee and some cocoa, fine, youthful, slightly sandy tannins, toasted notes, salty notes, full-bodied and persistent, malted traces, noticeable warm alcohol, touch of dark chocolate on a very good finish.
