2016 Rüdesheim Pinot Noir, Rheingau, Germany

Clear, fairly polished nose, mixed berries, floral notes, hint of tobacco, cherries, dried herbs and mineral notes. Tart, fairly dark, polished fruit on the palate, increasingly juicy with aeration, very fine, youthful tannins, light nutty oak, persistent, light peppery notes, hint of tobacco, fairly prominent mineral notes, some depth, chalky traces, delicate vegetal and herbaceous traces, more prominent mineral notes on a very good, firm, tart, juicy finish.
