2015 Johannisberg Hölle Pinot Noir, Rheingau, Germany

Light toasted notes on the nose, mixed berries and cherries, touch of mixed pickles, hint of dried herbs, some tobacco, earthy and mineral traces, whiff of licorice. Firm, tart, juicy, fairly dark fruit on the palate, nutty aromas and some cocoa, hint of tobacco, fairly prominent, youtful, but also fairly well integrated tannins, persistent, salty in the background, smoky traces and a hint of leather, firm structure, fairly cool style, some old oak and more tobacco on a very good tart, juicy, minerally finish.
