2015 Assmannshausen Pinot Noir, Rheingau, Germany

Clear, firm nose, delicate hint of tobacco, ripe mixed berries and a few cherries, delicate spice, earthy and mineral notes. Ripe, polished, juicy fruit on the palate, light smoky oak, hint of bacon, herbs and peppery traces, salty mineral notes, herbaceous notes, firm structure, fine sandy, youthful tannins, still young, some depth, nutty notes and some tobacco, more mineral notes on a very good firm, tart, juicy finish.
