2018 Chianti Classico DOCG Gran Selezione "Vigna Poggiarso", Tuscany, Italy

Clear red and black berry nose with a little Mediterranean herbs and juniper. Quite firmly woven, fresh, tangy fruit, juniper notes and Mediterranean herbs, a little black olives, hints of liquorice and coffee on the palate, present, yet quite fine tannin, some acidity bite, persistent, has power, still rather undeveloped, salt and chalk in the background, very good, firm finish. Needs to mature a little more.
