2019 Barbera d'Asti DOC Superiore "Pettirosso", Piedmont, Italy

Somewhat warm aroma of ripe predominantly dark fruits with ethereal nuances and dried floral hints. Firm, warm dark fruit, smoky and toasty wood spice, present, somewhat drying tannin, good persistence, lots of power and noticeable but integrated alcohol, some bite, ethereal notes again, very good finish with dark juice and a little bitter chocolate.
