Firm, relatively fresh, very slightly smoky, dried-vegetable to herbal and peppery aroma of ripe predominantly black berries with a hint of cherries, and floral nuances reminiscent of lavender. Tight, ripe, quite juicy, polished fruit, some bite and present, quite fine, youthful tannins, smoky notes in the background, floral, peppery and dried-herbal flavours, plenty of power, but also cool elements, a bit reminiscent of ice confectionery, hints of paprika and liquorice, a little toastiness, very good, firm, tart-juicy finish. Definitely needs to mature
