2016 Carmignano DOCG Riserva "Trefiano", Tuscany, Italy

Dried fleshy, tobacco and slightly smoky scent of black and a little red berries with a little tar, tobacco, cedar wood and iodine. Rather strong in the mouth, ripe fruit a little covered by the wood with chocolaty, toasty and very slightly tobacco aromas, present, crumbly-sandy tannin, good substance and persistence, noticeable alcohol, chalky and salty notes in the background, very good, tart, again slightly covered, chocolaty finish with warming alcohol
