2016 Barco Reale di Carmignano DOC, Tuscany, Italy

Tart nose, black berries and a few cherries, light dried herbaceous and floral notes, cedary notes and a hint of tobacco. Ripe, juicy, partly preserved fruit on the palate, light acid bite, partly integrated but also still youthful sandy tannins, peaty traces, hint of caramel and some tobacco, touch of nut butter in the background, quite full-bodied, salty notes, some bite on a good to very good finish.
