2007 Carmignano DOCG "Villa di Capezzana", Tuscany, Italy

Ripe, preserved red berries on the nose, cassis and cherries, hint of tobacco and some licorice, slightly smoky, spicy oak. Full-bodied and juicy on the palate, ripe fruit, spicy oak and dark chocolate, prominent very fine and mature tannins, persistent, slightly noticeable alcohol, good substance and has some depth, very good finish.

Best to drink: 2012-2016+. What our ratings mean
