2020 Barbera d'Asti DOCG "Maridá", Piedmont, Italy

Tart, slightly dried-vegetable to herbal and tobacco aroma of more black than red berries with nutty tones as well as a hint of bread crust and smoke. A little developed fruit with smoky, moderately woody and a little ethereal-spicy notes, fine sandy tannin, some power and persistence, a trace of ash in the background, vegetal tones, also salt, good to very good, a touch sweetish finish.
