2017 Barolo DOCG "Priore", Piedmont, Italy

Quite firm, very slightly dried-floral scent of black and a little red berries with tar notes, root vegetables, a hint of liquorice and mushroomy traces, rubber and hints of tar. Ripe fruit with toasty and bitter-chocolatey wood spice, also some chocolate, sandy-drying tannins, certain warmth and alcoholic power, a little amaretto, good to very good, only drying again and emphatically toasty-woody finish.
