2020 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Merlot-Cabernet Riserva "Loam", Alto Adige, Italy

Firm, slightly smoky, nutty and tobaccoy-woody aroma with quite polished aromas of very ripe black berries as well as slightly minty and peppery tones. Firmly knitted, partly dried, tangy black fruit with lots of smoky-roasty wood, some soot and coffee grounds, present, slightly sandy and initially still drying tannin, powerful and alcoholic on the palate, persistent, still undeveloped, a little earthy in the background, salty mineral tones, gains juice with air, very good, firm finish with black fruit and some wood bitterness.
