2020 "Brugneto di San Marino", San Marino

Clear, tart nose of predominantly dark berries with a hint of cherries, red cabbage and cloves as well as tart Mediterranean-herbal aromas and a little smoke. Tight, fresh, tangy fruit with some acidity and youthful, very fine tannins, slightly smoky, nutty, peppery and hints of coffee spice on the palate, persistent, herbs again in the background, salty tones, good to very good, tight finish, again with noticeable acidity.
