2008 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva Pfarrhof, Alto Adige, Italy

Partly dried and partly candied red currants on the nose, touch of cassis and plums, some spicy notes and medicinal herbs. Polished, delicately raisiny fruit on the palate, light chocolate notes, preserved red currants, blackberries and cassis, more herbaceous notes, very slightly sandy integrated tannins, becomes more defined with aeration, quite full-bodied, very good finish.

Editor note: Fairly cool nose, partly preserved black berries, cherries and some red berries, hint of leather, vegetal traces, spicy oak. Clear, polished, fairly juicy and slightly jammy, slightly sweetish fruit on the palate, fine, mature tannins, persistent, delicate oak and some chocolate, hint of cola, herbaceous traces in the background, quite full-bodied, very good finish.
