2007 Dolcetto di Dogliani DOC, Piedmont, Italy

Slightly overripe cherries and plums on the nose, light earthy notes and some old oak. Chocolate on the palate, some apples and plums, hint of cherries, herbaceous with light spicy notes, licorice, medium, astringent tannins, slightly astringent again on an attractive to good finish.
