2011 Gattinara DOCG Vigneto Valferana, Piedmont, Italy

Firm nose, slightly spicy, hint of tobacco, red berries, some light cherries, pomegranate, elegant, aromatic peppery aromas. Clear, surprisingly fresh, elegant, juica fruit on the palate, light nutty and smoky notes, hint of tobacco, very fine polished tannins, some bite, salty mineral notes in the background, persistent, some depth, elegant spicy traces, quite complex, medium body, elegant style, very good firm, juicy, spicy, very elegant finish.
