2004 Gattinara DOCG Vigneto Valferana, Piedmont, Italy

Quite a deep nose, partly preserved ripe red berries, hint of plums, some sweetish tobacco and earthy traces. Very clear, lively, elegantly juicy fruit on the palate, fairly prominent, lively tannins, light acid bite, hint of tobacco, some more light earthy notes, persistent with good grip, lively, floral touch, good to very good finish.
