2014 Bolgheri Superiore DOC "Arnione", Tuscany, Italy

Firm nose, ripe, partly preserved black berries, nutty, toasted oak, hint of chocolate, partly dried floral traces, peppery traces. Ripe, warm, again partly preserved fruit on the palate, prominent toasted oak, fine, sandy, ripe tannins, good persistence, herbaceous traces, full body, hint of pimento in the background, prominent high alcohol, some bitter sooty notes, chocolate and spicy oak on a verygood finish. Very concentrated, but the oak is still a little rustic and prominent. Needs time to mature.
