2010 D.O.Ca Rioja Gran Reserva, La Rioja, Spain

Firm nose, light herbaceous notes and peppery spice, hint of iodine, predominantly black berries, cedary, spicy notes, hint of tobacco, touch of licorice and mineral notes. Ripe, tart, juicy fruit on the palate, spicy oak, hint of cocoa, peppery and herbaceous notes, salty mineral notes, generally well integrated fine, sandy tannins, persistent, good depth, quite complex, still fairly young, already approachable, firm grip, hint of tobacco, very light notes reminiscent of liver, very good juicy, spicy, grippy finish.
