2023 Scharzhofberg Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken "Mittlerer Josef", Mosel, Germany

Festive, delicate smoky nose of ripe citrus fruits with a hint of stone fruit, mandarin peels, some yeast, wax, as well as herbal and floral nuances. Juicy, bright, rather cool fruit, not completely dry, very fine, ripe acidity, restrained yeasty tones and fresh ethereal herbs, slightly reminiscent of coriander, good sustainability on the palate, a hint of green gooseberries, has grip, very good, juicy and again slightly nutty-yeasty finish.
