2020 Mittelburgenland DAC Ried Hochäcker Blaufränkisch trocken "Handmade", Burgenland, Austria

Tart, slightly tobacco, nutty and a little toasty aroma of predominantly black berries with a little rosehip, floral aromas, smoke, pepper and bay leaf. Firmly woven, tangy black fruit with herbal, peppery and juniper notes, some smoke on the palate, dried herbal nuances, some acidity and fine sandy tannin, persistent, salty minerality, very light cereal hints, a touch of tobacco and undergrowth, very good, firm, tangy, grippy finish, again with bite.
