2022 Chianti Classico DOCG, Tuscany, Italy

Light nutty and tobacco notes on the nose, predominantly dark berries, dried vegetal to herbaceous, leathery and light smoky/roasted aromas. Ripe, somewhat warm dark fruit, bitter chocolate notes and slightly drying tannins, a little tobacco in the background, salty notes, hint of herbs, some power, good to very good, only slightly drying finish with bitter cocoa notes and a hint of citrus zest.
