2019 Chianti Classico DOCG Gran Selezione "Vigne di Montornello", Tuscany, Italy

Warm, slightly bready-malty and a hint of animal aroma of very ripe predominantly black berries with liquorice notes, tobacco, Mediterranean herbs, some mint and tobacco wood notes. Firm, dense and juicy in the mouth, powerful but also with some freshness, crumbly-sandy, ripe, youthful tannin and some bite, persistent and concentrated on the palate, bitter-chocolate notes, a little liquorice, tar and hints of plum compote, peppery and juniper tones in the background, dried Mediterranean herbs, good depth, still young, quite complex, salty hints, very good, juicy and spicy finish.
