2018 Ahrweiler Forstberg Spätburgunder, Ahr, Germany

Rather cool, almost still a little reductive, slightly herbaceous-vegetable scent of red and also black berries and cherries with mineral and very delicate floral tones as well as a hint of bread spices. Clear, ripe, firm and rather juicy fruit, very fine, crumbly tannin and refreshing bite, persistent on the palate, delicately melting, very light warmth, floral traces, salty minerality, a hint of citrus zest, very good finish with lots of fresh red juice and again delicate vegetable tones
