2020 Hohen-Sülzen Spätburgunder VDP.Aus Ersten Lagen trocken Alte Reben, Rheinhessen, Germany

Clear, very slightly smoky to bacony scent of red and black berries with a hint of tobacco as well as dried floral and fleshy nuances, some tomatoes and mushrooms. Polished, rather cool, fine-juicy, tart fruit, again smoky, delicately bacony and also floral aromas, some acidity, very fine, still youthful tannin, a little dark ethereal spice on the palate, salt in the background, still undeveloped, toasty nuances, very good, tight finish with tart juice, hints of coffee, salt and leek, a little meat juice, lightly smoked fillet and chalky tones.
