2017 Barolo DOCG Serralunga d'Alba, Piedmont, Italy

Firm, somewhat herbal and very slightly floral aroma of more red than black berries with delicate mushroomy and bacony nuances, iodine, tar and some meat. Tart, ripe, very slightly muted fruit, nutty tones, a hint of cocoa, dried-vegetable to tobacco aromas, a touch of root vegetables, crumbly-sandy tannin, some alcohol warmth, good persistence, a touch of salt, very good, again slightly warm finish with ripe juice and grip.
